엘리자베스 1세 여왕 시대인 1588년 칼레해전에서 스페인의 무적함대를 격파한 영국은 최강 에스파냐를 제치고 세계 해양의 주도권을 장악하며 발전하였다.

이후 1805년 넬슨(1758-1805) 제독이 프랑스·에스파냐연합함대와 벌인 트라팔가해전에서 승리함으로써 영국은 세계를 지배하며, 해가지지 않는 나라로 발전할 수 있었다.

In 1588 marking the era of Queen Elizabeth I, England enjoyed prosperity while defeating Spain's Invincible Armada and beating the strongest Espana to the leadership of the world oceans.

Afterwards, in 1805, Admiral Nelson (1758-1805) came to dominate the world and was able to develop into an Empire on which the sun never set by winning a victory in the Battle of Trafalgar with the France-Espana Allied fleet.
