    Goryeo | 15th year of King Hyeonjong, 100 Arabian merchants visited
    Goryeo with their local products as presents, asking for trade. This is the first
    historical account of Arabian merchants visiting the Korean Peninsula.

    Goryeo | 10th year of King Gojong, Japanese pirates invaded Goryeo,
    advancing into the city of Geumju (present-day Gimhae)

    Goryeo | 11th year of King Wonjong, Sambyeolcho led a resistance
    movement against Mongol (~AD 1273). After the King’s surrender to
    Yuan Dynasty, it led about a thousand battleships, launching campaign
    against Mongol on its way to Jindo and Jaejudo
    AD 1274
    Goryeo | 15th year of King Won, Kim Banggyung from Goryeo and Hong
    Dagu from Yuan Dynasty built 900 battleships within five month with
    Goryeo’s shipbuilding technology.
    They tried to carry out the first expedition to Japan only to fail.
    AD 1281
    Goryeo | 7th year of King Chungnyeol, Kim Banggyung and Hong Dagu tried
    again to carry out expedition to Japan to no avail
    AD 1374
    Goryeo | 23th year of King Gongmin, Choe Yeong suppressed the rebellion
    of Mokho by Mongols in Jeju with 314 battleships
    AD 1380
    Goryeo | 6th year of King Wu, Choi Mu-seon completely defeated
    about 500 Japanese battleship with gunpowder weapons at Jinpo
    (present-day the coastal waters of Gunsan)

    Goryeo | 9th year of King U, Jeong Ji defeated Japanese battleships,
    which invaded Namhaehyeon at Gwaneumpo
    AD 1389
    Goryeo | 1st year of King Chang, Bak Wi conquered Tsushima
    (present-day Daemado) with 100 battleships
