With the recent rise in interest for marine territories including conflicts over sea sovereignty with neighboring countries (China and Japan), there is a need to support talents to expand Korea's base of ocean-related expertise.

By organizing an international maritime law mock trial competition, we can heighten the interest of undergraduate and graduate students in oceans and establish a foundation to expand the research base and promote training of professional talents.

We have organized the international maritime law mock trial competition since 2013.
